As our Construction Estimator, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our projects are set up for success right from the start. You'll work closely with our owner and project management team to create detailed cost estimates, vet trade pricing, issue purchase orders, and manage bid requests using JobTread software. Your ability to be organized, proactive, and detail-oriented will help us continue delivering top-quality builds on time and on budget.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed project estimates, budgets, and takeoffs for new construction projects.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
  • Issue bid requests and purchase orders through JobTread and liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Review, analyze, and vet trade proposals and ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Maintain current and accurate pricing for materials, labor, and subcontractor services.
  • Collaborate closely with the project team to support project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Support the owner with continuous improvement of estimating and purchasing systems.
  • Track and manage project cost changes, providing updated budgets as necessary.
  • Ensure all estimating activities comply with company policies and procedures.


What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably residential or multifamily projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Proficiency in construction management or estimating software (JobTread experience is a strong asset, but not mandatory).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
  • Background in infill, multifamily, or residential construction is highly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation (preferred).
